For Christmas, Loewe is collaborating with ceramicist duo Suna and Fujita
In a collection celebrating play and nostalgia
November 12th, 2024
For this holiday season, Loewe offers a nostalgic dive into the past. Renewing its collaboration with the Kyoto-based ceramicist duo Suna and Fujita, the maison has created a collection inspired by childhood dreams, both in color and in the motifs featured on bags and accessories. Each item has been transformed into a fantastic world ruled by whimsical creatures and adorable animals. Octopuses, squids, and whales adorn Loewe's classic models like the Flamenco, Hammock, and Puzzle, in a palette that directly references the aquatic world. Meanwhile, bunnies and hamsters add an ironic touch to bags and small leather goods with natural tones and sparkling details, for a look that is both nostalgic and ultra-modern.
The Puzzle and Flamenco bags are revisited in materials like soft deer leather and knit designs in vibrant hues and metallic accents, ready for the season of lights. The ready-to-wear collection includes oversized coats, bombers, and shearling workwear jackets featuring soft textures that wrap the wearer in a warm embrace. Alongside the ready-to-wear collection, bags, and footwear, Loewe’s new holiday campaign also reveals a ceramics line designed by the Japanese ceramicist duo Suna and Fujita. This set of mugs, teapots, and plates explores a playful and nostalgic dimension through childhood imagery. The marine animals featured on the bags reappear, while bunnies and hamsters are painted alongside children enjoying outdoor play.
