5 ultra-modern fashion boutiques to visit in Paris this fall For fashion and design lovers

The excitement of the new season and its breeze of renewal, which has earned it the status of an "autumnal New Year" for some, has passed. The leaves are starting to fall, and the temperatures are dropping. What better reasons to put on a scarf, grab a good coffee, and stroll through the streets of Paris for a tour of the city's most beautiful fashion and design boutiques? Here is a selection of 5 boutiques to discover in Paris for a trendy autumn walk, perfectly in sync with the season.

Issey Miyake in the Triangle d'or

For the opening of its second store in the French capital, Issey Miyake chose Rue François 1er, located on the right bank in Paris's 8th arrondissement. In addition to its Pleats Please Issey Miyake store located on Boulevard Saint-Germain, the Japanese brand decided to cross the Seine for the recent opening of its new flagship store. In a minimalist yet filled space, with cool but nonetheless colorful tones, the boutique offers all the collections of the 50-year-old brand, from new releases to cult pieces crafted in the famous pleated fabric.

Comme des Garçons on Faubourg-Saint-Honoré

Continuing with Japanese fashion and still on the same bank, just a few steps away from Issey Miyake, you'll find the Comme des Garçons store. Launched in 1969 by Rei Kawakubo to create a more relaxed and playful line compared to her peers, the brand with the red heart has also set up shop in the 8th arrondissement. Also available at BVH Marais Homme and Galeries Lafayette Homme, the rue Faubourg-Saint-Honoré store offers not only an impressive selection of pieces spread across four floors but also several items from the collections of Junya Watanabe and Noir Kei Ninomiya, both protégés of Rei Kawakubo herself. In addition to clothing and accessories, it's also possible to purchase Comme des Garçons chairs. This is, in fact, the only place in the world where you can get them.

Diesel, also on Saint-Honoré

In the same district, a 10-minute walk from the previous store, is the Diesel shop with its signature "destroy" style, imagined by Glenn Martens, the current creative director of Diesel. The space is highly organized, and the collections are divided and spread out across different rooms: downstairs, you’ll find accessories and capsule collections, while the first floor hosts the ready-to-wear collections for men and women, along with shoes and bags. An entire room is dedicated to the item at the heart of Diesel’s story: jeans. Indeed, the red room contains an impressive selection of denim pieces, sure to satisfy all tastes and paying tribute to the brand, popular since the late '70s.

Drôle de Monsieur in Le Marais

Next, we head to the Marais, further west of Paris, specifically to Rue de Poitou, where the Drôle de Monsieur flagship store is located. Although the two designers of the brand, Dany Dos Santos and Maxime Schwab, hail from Dijon, it is, ironically, in Paris that you can purchase the famous "not from paris madame" t-shirts. The brand’s DNA blends vibrant colors and typical '70s prints with personal memories from the designers' childhoods in the '90s, including the arrival of hip-hop in France. The store is nestled in the chic upper Marais, in a cozy and comfortable environment that makes you want to prolong your shopping experience for hours.

Acne Studios, also in Le Marais

Last but not least: the Acne Studios flagship store, located just a few streets away. This address not only promises a fashion rendezvous not to be missed, offering pieces from the latest collection, but it’s also a design stop for architecture and decor fans. The decor of the store, with Swedish roots, was conceived and brought to life in collaboration with Halleroed, another Swedish design studio. Expect the brand’s signature colors like powder pink and silver, metallic structures, and comfy chairs, all highlighting the iconic jeans, bags, and scarves that will certainly add color to your autumn.
