As every year, September begins in the Big Apple leading up to the fashion weeks of London, Milan, and Paris. The quintessential melting pot, New York never disappoints with its diverse stylistic influences found both on the runways and the streets of the city. From the quiet luxury looks to the ubiquitous Y2K influence, New York street style always manages to stand out. Although subdued compared to previous years, this week's events did not spare anyone: from the grand all-American show by Ralph Lauren in the Hamptons to the new collection by Alaïa presented outside its home.
