Who is the luxury brand that will dress the French athletes?
For the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Berluti has the honor of designing the uniforms for the French team

All eyes are on Paris with the upcoming opening ceremony of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In terms of fashion, it is the Maison Berluti, part of the LVMH group, that has the honor of dressing the French athletes at the grand event that will open the Games. The Italian brand has designed a midnight blue wool tuxedo with a shawl collar and a tricolor gradient reminiscent of the French flag, a shirt with a label embroidered with the inscription "Artisans of all victories", and a pair of blue leather shoes that attest to the institution's craftsmanship. Regarding the collaboration with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Antoine Arnault, President of Berluti, had declared "After the announcement of our partnership with Paris 2024 last July, I am proud to unveil Berluti's contribution, which aims, alongside houses like Louis Vuitton and Dior, to combine elegance and performance during the opening ceremonies". The challenge was significant, as the outfits must adapt to all the different body types of the athletes while maintaining elegance. Under the impetus of stylist Carine Roitfeld and with the collaboration of around 180 artisans, Berluti has created a 100% European outfit, meaning designed in France and made in Italy. The outfits are available in sizes from 3XS to 6XL, offering an inclusive choice.
Maison Berluti, founded in 1895 by Alessandro Berluti, is a brand of luxury shoes and leather goods. Initially famous for its bespoke shoes, Berluti is recognized for its artisanal expertise and the use of high-quality patinated leathers. In 1993, the brand joined the LVMH group, thus expanding its product range to include clothing and accessories. Under the artistic direction of renowned designers such as Haider Ackermann and Kris Van Assche, Berluti continues to blend tradition and innovation, affirming its status in the world of luxury men's fashion. The choice of this 130-year-old luxury house is no coincidence. The LVMH giant is a major partner of the Olympic Games. Indeed, Bernard Arnault's company, thanks to a premium sponsorship, has been given maximum visibility during the sports events: the jeweler Chaumet has made the medals, while Louis Vuitton has designed a case to store them as well as another to hold the flame. The latter crossed LVMH's vineyards and made a stop at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. "Among the smaller brands, one that is also shining at the moment is Berluti", said Bernard Arnault during the group's general meeting in April.
