Dopo American Psycho, un altro racconto dello scrittore americano Bret Easton Ellis diventa un film.

Questa è la volta di 'The Canyons', produzione indipendente e low-budget diretta da Paul Schrader.

E’ un noir contemporaneo, che racconta le vicende di un gruppo di ventenni alle prese con ambizione, sesso, potere nella città di Los Angeles.

Tra i protagonisti spiccano l’irrequieta Lindsay Lohan, la star di film porno James Deen ed il regista Gus Vant Sant, qui in veste di attore.

Ad anticipare l’uscita del film, nelle sale nel 2013, è da poco uscito un trailer ispirato ai thrillers anni ’70, a cui seguiranno uno stile melodrammi 50s e uno che riprende la commedia degli anni ’30.                                                

L’intero guardaroba è firmato dal brand californiano American Apparel, che del mood sexy e provocatorio ha fatto il suo marchio di fabbrica e quindi ben si adatta ai personaggi di 'The Canyons'.
