Last minute surprise: the French Timonthegram as the host of the red carpet

This allowed us to see Léna Situations on the app, during the red carpet of the Césars. Something that did not fail to react the internet users. This time, while Bella Thorne was already announced as the commentator of the red carpet for this edition of the amFAR, a last-minute surprise ignited social networks a few days before the event. It was the French Timon thegram, an emblematic figure of live TikTok with no less than 2 million followers, who was revealed as the second unexpected commentator. The live, brilliantly conducted in a mix of French and English, added a touch of freshness and spontaneity to the evening and attracted a new audience.

Cher, the star of the evening

This Thursday, May 23, the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc was illuminated by the presence of Cher. Accompanied by her partner Alexander Edwards, she captivated the cameras with a "passionate" kiss, much to the delight of the gossip press. But Cher did not just make a remarkable entrance. By performing her legendary hits, she transported the audience through the highlights of her career, reaffirming once more her status as a timeless icon.

Givenchy, Jacquemus, GCDS… The custom creations of the parade by Carine Roitfeld

Under the artistic direction of Roitfeld, this 15th parade perpetuated the tradition of the amfAR gala. Maison Margiela gave new life to Cinderella, LaQuan Smith brought a twist to Little Red Riding Hood, and Richard Quinn revisited Alice in Wonderland with an avant-garde touch. Other houses such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Jacquemus, Off-White, Schiaparelli, Balenciaga as well as Courrèges, Saint Laurent, Rick Owens, Alaïa, Marc Jacobs also participated, each bringing their own creative vision to the fairy tale theme. Altogether, these shows have raised more than 17 million euros for the foundation over the years, thanks notably to the auctions of the dresses presented.
