Gucci will show at London's Tate Modern
Legendary British gallery will host the brand's Cruise 2025 collection
April 18th, 2024
Gucci announced today that its Cruise 2025 fashion show on May 13th will be held at one of London's most iconic and culturally significant locations: the Tate Modern. This event marks a synergy between two giants in the fields of art and fashion, promising to be an unforgettable moment in the international fashion calendar. The Tate Modern, known for its impressive architecture and world-renowned collections of contemporary art, will be transformed into a runway where Gucci's new collection by Sabato De Sarno will be presented to the public, also fostering a dialogue between different forms of creative expression.
The event will not only showcase Gucci's new collection but also further solidify the bond between the brand and the city of London, which is one of the mythic birthplaces of the brand. Guccio Gucci, the founder of the fashion house, spent significant years of his youth working at London's Savoy, an experience that taught him much about luxury and design, inspiring him to return to his native Florence and establish the brand that still bears his name today. Additionally, the event will be an opportunity for Gucci to demonstrate its commitment to supporting and promoting arts and culture, as alongside the fashion show, Gucci has announced the initiation of a three-year collaboration with the Tate Modern, which will include support for the Electric Dreams exhibition and initiatives aimed at nurturing young creative talents.
