Gucci recently inaugurated its renovated store at Via Monte Napoleone 5 in Milan with a lavish cocktail party to celebrate the event. The boutique, located in the historic venue that first opened in 1951, symbolizes a deep connection to the city and pays homage to Italian art and craftsmanship through meticulous renovation. Creative Director, Sabato De Sarno, and President and CEO, Jean-François Palus, welcomed guests inside the boutique during last week's opening event. The atmosphere of the evening was enlivened by the DJ set of Kim Turnbull, while attendees enjoyed Gucci Giardino 25 cocktails prepared by Bar Manager Martina Bonci. Among the distinguished guests at the party were notable names such as Pietro Castellitto, Carlo Cracco, Beatrice Grannò, Tea Falco, Joan Thiele, Gilda Ambrosio, Giorgia Tordini, Tamu McPherson, and many others.
The store, which reopened its doors on December 7 after extensive renovations, represents a statement of evolution under the guidance of new Creative Director Sabato De Sarno, emphasizing the brand's product and creative direction. The Via Montenapoleone boutique was inaugurated in 1951 by Rodolfo Gucci, one of the three sons of founder Guccio Gucci, becoming the first Gucci store in Milan. After a closure in July 2022, the store underwent a complete renovation, reopening its doors with a celebratory evening. Jean-François Palus emphasized the importance of reopening in such a prestigious address, in the heart of a city renowned for creativity, fashion influence, and embodiment of luxury. The boutique, spanning two floors, offers the entire range of Gucci collections, including men's and women's clothing, bags, travel accessories, shoes, silks, eyewear, jewelry, fragrances, and gift items. The interiors reflect Gucci's commitment to eco-friendly initiatives and energy-efficient technologies, with a design following LEED guidelines to monitor and promote energy efficiency.
Gucci has created a unique environment, celebrating Italian craftsmanship with details such as Cipollino and Bardiglio marble floors, Venetian "pulegoso" glass handles and shelves, and interior furnishings featuring works of contemporary Italian and international artists, including a painting by Lucio Fontana. The Via Montenapoleone store is not just a commercial space; it is an immersive experience that blends Gucci's rich tradition with the contemporary creations of Italian artists and designers. With its reopening, Gucci strongly asserts its authority in fashion and timeless luxury, offering its customers a refreshed and inviting environment.
