Ciesse Piumini presents the new LAB Zero/0 capsule
It revisits and reinterprets the brand's heritage
October 23rd, 2023
Ciesse Piumini's FW23 campaign is dedicated to the LAB Zero/0 capsule, a new creative and communicative project by the brand. This project is based on a modern reinterpretation of the incredible heritage that the brand possesses. The company has a history of working with natural down, and until 1976, it also ventured into the production of pillows and quilts. It was in that year when the Ciesse Piumini brand was born, derived from the initials of its founder, Silvano Cinelli. The brand quickly specialized in technical sportswear suitable for skiing and mountaineering. But, more specifically, what does this modernization project entail? The brand's aim is to give a more contemporary twist to its outdoor heritage, in terms of fabrics, silhouettes, and color palettes. Street-inspired shots, captured by photographer Lorenzo Formicola, narrate Ciesse Piumini's story in a contemporary way. Through the LAB, the brand interprets its bold, modern, and adventurous spirit with an 80s look and feel.
With this collection, Ciesse Piumini demonstrates how it is possible in the world of fashion to narrate the evolution of an authentic DNA by connecting it with cool and seemingly distant stylistic elements. Tied to the mountains and adventure, Ciesse Piumini is a brand that has often focused on functional clothing, but it is right to push beyond its limits when it boasts an excellent reputation. The down jackets, moreover, retain the brand's sporting spirit and innovation capability, as for over 40 years, it has been creating pieces that seek the perfect balance between research, style, and quality. Glossy fabrics, oversized volumes, and bold, intense color shades take center stage in the campaign, characterized by an 80s allure. Ciesse Piumini's ultimate goal is to establish a continuum between an era that seems to have slipped into the past but has inevitably contributed to the brand's identity and a bright future in search of new designs and new paths.
