Balenciaga to show its Fall collection in Los Angeles
After last year's show at the New York Stock Exchange, the fashion house will show on 2 December under the Californian sun

In the past months, more and more haute couture brands are moving their catwalks to Californian soil, preferring the Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Even Balenciaga, the French fashion house guided by the artistic direction of Demna, has announced that the next show will be held on 2 December in Los Angeles. No further details have yet been revealed as to where the FW24 collection will take place, but the past projects of the maison make it clear that this too will be no mere catwalk show - see the mirror-selfie lookbook and collaborations with Supreme, the complete red carpet takeover of the fashion house during the Cannes Film Festival, or the sneaker-bag sported by Demna at this year's Met.
Other brands that have chosen to present in California ahead of the Parisian house led by Demna include Versace, also in Los Angeles last March, Ralph Lauren, Dior Menswear, in Venice Beach with the support of Quest, the Meta visor, and then Louis Vuitton, at the Salk Institute for Cruise 2023, Celine, Saint Laurent, and Gucci. Balenciaga's December show is not a first time in the United States for the brand; back in the spring of 2022, to present their 2023 resort collection, Demna had decided to use the space of the New York Stock Exchange to show adidas jumpsuits, latex masks, and 80s shoulder pads. Before the December show in Los Angeles, Balenciaga will present the SS24 collection at Paris Fashion Week in September.
