Moncler x Salehe Bembury: a collection combining luxury and the outdoors

Moncler announced today its latest collaboration with legendary designer Salehe Bembury. The new Moncler x Salehe Bembury capsule is the result of a shared vocation for the outdoor world and revisits the concept of luxury through innovative colors, shapes, and functionality. Salehe Bembury gave his personal touch to the collection by using his signature fingerprint pattern, which was repeated on clothing and accessories. With this collection, the designer aims to communicate the concept of "humanize luxury," seeking to harmoniously balance Moncler's DNA with the most authentic functionality of outdoor gear. This dialogue between different values and communities creates a unique combination in the vast repertoire of cross-cultural collaborations through which Moncler is reinterpreting its historic heritage in recent years-part of the evolution of Moncler Genius as a platform for co-creation between different creative worlds.

Moncler x Salehe Bembury also paves the way for the debut of the first ready-to-wear and accessories collection created by the sneaker designer. Titled Moncler ēquipements, the collection is inspired by a mountaineering line from the Moncler archives of the 1950s. Bembury drew on the brand's codes by reinterpreting them through his own unique language and incorporating into his designs his own passion for hiking reflected in his choice of colors, which range from burnt orange to mossy green, sunset red to mountain brown. The garments designed by Salehe reflect his authenticity and are based on Moncler's technical expertise in outdoor clothing. The capsule includes practical collarless down jackets with multi-purpose pockets, GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ parkas paired with teddy fleece and leggings, as well as hats and beanies. Moncler's iconic quilting blends with Bembury's fingerprint pattern on a selection of padded outerwear, vests and lightweight garments.

Given Bembury's involvement, then, a reinterpreted version of Moncler's Trailgrip sneaker was certainly not to be missed. The model reinterpreted by Salehe Bembury features a quilted print pattern and is designed for the new generation of explorers and outdoor enthusiasts. The collection's advertising campaign, directed by Hala Matar and photographed by Lauren Kim, depicts a group of hikers along a forest trail inspired by California landscapes. The campaign captures the harmony between men, style, music, and the outdoors, with rain, wind, and sun merging with the sound of footsteps on the grass and zippers opening and closing.
