Luxury conglomerate Kering recently inaugurated its new headquarters in Milan at Palazzo Pertusati Groppallo, an 18th-century property in the heart of the city that has been completely renovated for its new use. According to WWD, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault was present at the official opening last Wednesday, along with a number of group executives, including Marco Bizzarri, president and CEO of Gucci, Sabina Belli, CEO of Pomellato, which the group owns, and Alain Prost, CEO of Richard Ginori.
Kering decided to move its headquarters from Via Mecenate, where the conglomerate had been based since 2019, to the stunning Palazzo Pertusati, a neoclassical building originally designed by Simone Cantoni. It spans six floors with a total area of 102,257 square meters and overlooks the Golden Triangle luxury shopping and fashion district, as well as the gardens of Indro Montanelli. The complex, a mix of commercial and co-working spaces that have hosted prestigious brands such as Moschino, Borsalino, Drumohr, and Sergio Rossi among other tenants, was recently renovated by real estate developer Hines. An exclusive entrance at Via Senato 19 will be reserved for Kering.
During the event, Milan Mayor Beppe Sala thanked the French group for its decision to invest in the city and actively contribute to its economic and social development. Pinault addressed the guests present, including Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, and Antonio De Matteis, CEO of Kiton, who is also President of Pitti Immagine. «I am of course very pleased to welcome you all here at the new Kering headquarters in Milan, in Via Senato. I am sure you all know how important Italy, and Milan in particular, is to our Group. We are very committed to the future of Italy and the region worldwide and try to support the Italian people as much as possible in difficult times» said Pinault, referring to the Group's recent donation to the Emilia-Romagna region affected by the floods.
