The new chapter of the Bee Line and Timberland collaboration
Timberland's outdoor heritage meets Japanese streetwear once again
November 22nd, 2022
Bee Line and Timberland have announced the ninth installment of their ongoing collaborative partnership. The most famous product co-signed by the two brands, the 6" Rubber Toe Boot Bee Line x Timberland, has been reinterpreted by Joe Au, Bee Line's creative director, in a series of new colorways accompanied by a capsule that mixes Timberland's workwear and outdoor heritage with abstract graphics created for Bee Line by New York-based artist Shaun Crawford. The collection was presented with a campaign shot in Central Park by Aijani Payne whose concept would seem to remind us that, even in the heart of the city, there is never a lack of opportunity to be in contact with the natural world.
The star of the collection, the Rubber Toe Boot, returns, as mentioned, in its waterproof nubuck construction updated with layers of materials and its classic rubberized toe that is enhanced with Wheat, Navy and Red hues - the latter being a reference to the "Crimson" colorway produced by the brand in 2014 in only 300 pairs worldwide. The boot's waterproof interior made of TimberDry™ and ReBOTL™ fabric lining, on the other hand, was made with at least 50 percent recycled plastic. The genderless capsule that joins the boot follows the same sustainable guidelines as everything else: the Fleece Jacket is made of 100 percent ReBotl™ fabric, while the hoodie and t-shirt are made of 100 percent organic cotton. Again the same ReBotl™ fabric, with at least 40 percent recycled plastic, makes up the Printed Jacket and Printed Pants decorated with the Gargoyle Bee Line Bees print signed by Shaun Crawford, and the polyester that makes up the beanie is also recycled.
