Kanye West will continue his collaboration with Balenciaga without the brand's permission
Sells each piece for twenty dollars

Just over a month ago, Balenciaga and Kanye West split following the rapper's comments during and after the Yeezy Season show during the recent Paris Fashion Week. Despite the brand's clear stance that it's erased any trace of a collaboration with West and ended the partnership, Kanye doesn't seem to have gotten over it, so much so that he decided to continue his partnership with Balenciaga without the brand's permission. In a video posted online yesterday, West announced at his new warehouse that he was willing to sell Kering-branded clothing for as little as $20 each.
The garments come from the rapper's personal collection, and for the occasion he's printed the words Ye24 on each garment, alluding to his likely, but for now theoretical, candidacy in the upcoming US elections. According to Kanye, the initiative is meant to give everyone the opportunity to buy quality garments at a reduced price. At the same time, it's impossible not to see the real action as a publicity stunt to promote a new candidacy for the White House by the rapper. «I got about 100 hoodies," West says in the video. "Everything is going to cost $20. We need to make sure everyone can get the same quality of clothing, food, and education.» The clothes West shows in the video published online aren't only from Balenciaga, but also from his previous partnerships with adidas and Gap, as well as Yeezy pieces from the archive. But despite West's announcements, the brands' reactions are unlikely to be as enthusiastic.
