Hellfire Club t-shirt from "Stranger Things" goes luxury with Undercover

Hellfire Club t-shirt from Stranger Things goes luxury with Undercover Giving it a well-deserved glow-up was Jun Takahashi's Japanese cult brand

Jun Takahashi, one of the godfathers of Japanese streetwear as well as one of Paris Fashion Week's most anticipated fixtures, has always been a keen observer of pop culture. From classic anime such as Neon Genesis Evangelion to Cindy Sherman's photo art, via the films of Kurosawa and Kubrick, his brand Undercover has always mixed avant-garde and fanboy imagery that reflects the tastes and passions of its creator. One of these is Stranger Things, with cult character Eddie Munson's now-famous Hellfire Club graphicn taking center stage in a special Undercover collaborative capsule that will be available for pre-order Nov. 19-25 and will then be released at a date the brand has not specified at this time.

The capsule includes eight items, all of which can be seen in the campaign released by the brand, and marks the definitive entry of the Hellfire Club graphic into a luxury brand's collection. The t-shirt worn by Eddie Munson and some of the main characters in season 4 of Stranger Things, in fact, had become an instant hit, exploding into fast fashion versions with brands such as Karl Kanim Henry Tiger, Primark, Zavvi, and Pop in the Box, as well as on Amazon and in the official Netflix shop, quickly becoming a widespread t-shirt among the many fans of the series. This, by the way, is not the first time the Stranger Things merch has emerged in the world of luxury fashion: in 2017 it was Louis Vuitton, signaling Millie Bobby Brown's entry into the brand's family, that sent a t-shirt decorated with the brand's poster for the SS18 collection down the runway.
