Dickies and Brain Dead's reimagining of workwear
Underground subcultures transported in Dickies silhouettes

Dickies and Brain Dead is the collaboration that unites two equally disruptive universes. On the one hand, the workwear brand celebrating its 100th anniversary this year - Dickies was born in 1922 and quickly grew from a small manufacturing operation in Texas to the global powerhouse it is today - on the other hand, the collective of artists and designers active around the world whose graphic design approach draws from the post-punk scene, underground comics, skating, and a rather diverse crossroads of subcultures.
The aesthetic imaginaries of Dickies and Brain Dead met not only because they shared a vocation aimed at exploring streetwear, but also because of a sense of community connected to the creation of high-quality functional garments. The Dickies x Brain Dead collection reimagines some of Dickies' classic silhouettes, giving them a more dramatic impact. Splattered with bleach, and paint, and embroidered with the Brain Dead logo, the garments combine the functionality of work with the surrealist creativity of play. Presenting six pairs of work pants, two beanies, waffle mock necks, Eisenhower jackets, and two t-shirts, Brain Dead's designers made sure the collaboration had something for everyone. The result is a collection meant to be mixed, matched, and worn -whether going to work or on the couch, the comfort and fit are the same.
