At Paris Fashion Week there will be 45 physical shows
Including Virgil Abloh's final show for Off-White™ and the debut of The Row
February 8th, 2022
The calendar of the next Paris Fashion Week has been announced, which will run from 28 to 8 March – and that this year, together with the recently published calendar for Milan Fashion Week, marks the marked return of physical fashion after a first round of men's fashion weeks, in January, marked by fear and hesitation for the spread of the Omicron variant: in Paris there will be 45 shows, while in Milan the fashion shows in presence are close to sixty. The Paris calendar, among other things, promises to be loaded: it will open on February 28 with the final collection of Virgil Abloh for Off-White™ and will close with Miu Miu and Chanel instead of the traditional Louis Vuitton, also marking the return on the Parisian catwalks of the cult brand The Row, absent from the capital since 2015.
Marine Serre will also return along with VTMNTS and CFCL, a brand founded by Issey Myake's former artistic director, Yusuke Takahashi, make their debut, along with that of international designers such as Chinese Rui Zhou, German Anne Isabella and Ukrainian Petar Petrov – just to name a few. Also in Milan the return to the physical catwalks will have many novelties: in addition to the Gucci and Bottega Veneta shows and in addition to the now fixed presence in the calendar of Dolce & Gabbana, there will be the debut of Ambush on the Italian catwalks, a double show chez Giorgio Armani, the first physical fashion show of Fausto Puglisi's Roberto Cavalli and the second advent of Trussardi and his new creative directors. After the doubts of the beginning of the year, in short, the entire fashion industry is returning at full speed, investing a lot in the appeal of fashion weeks in presence, which had been greatly missed in recent years, and preparing to offer the public events and news of all kinds.
