All the brands worn on the Sanremo 2022 stage by the singers in the competition
Gucci, Emporio Armani and Philipp Plein dominated this year's ranking
February 8th, 2022
This year Sanremo ended with the victory of Mahmood and Blanco, marking a 72nd edition in which the fashion and looks of the singers in the race received much greater attention than in the past. Gucci, Emporio Armani and Philipp Plein were the most worn brands by this year's groups and artists – each with eight appearances. Closely followed by Valentino, present among the singers in the race with seven different looks, and Zegna, present with 5 looks. Remarkable, this year, was the presence of brands different from the classic historical names of Italian fashion, with looks signed by contemporary brands such as Federico Cina, The Attico and Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini and other more international ones such as Dior, Matthew Williams' Givenchy or Ann Demeulemeester.
We composed our ranking by counting how many times each brand was worn by the individual groups or artists competing during the five evenings of the festival – counting, for example, bands such as La Rappresentante di Lista or Le Vibrazioni as a single appearance of the brands that dressed them. We also did not include in the ranking the brands that provided individual accessories, jewelry or shoes as well as we did not count the looks of guests, presenters and singers present in the evening of the duets. Even limiting ourselves only to the artists in the competition, however, the selection gives a wide view of the variety of brands and designers who have contributed to the success of this edition of the Festival, which every year becomes an increasingly faithful mirror of the way in which fashion is represented on the Ariston stage.
