JW Anderson will show in Milan for the first time
The program of Milan Fashion Week next January keeps on growing
November 22nd, 2021
JW Anderson has announced that his next FW22 show will be held in Milan during the next fashion week, which will run from 14 to 18 January. The choice to show in Milan should actually be the beginning of a model of traveling shows designed to present the brand's collections in different forms. Jonathan Anderson explained: «For the past few seasons I enjoyed exploring new ways to present the JW Anderson collections, like our shows in a box and our most recent calendar with Juergen Teller. I wanted to do a physical show again but try something different: so we’ll be showing in Milan, a city I love and find inspiration often». CNMI's Carlo Capasa defined Anderson's decision as «the confirmation of the positive energy that pervades our city».
In fact, after a slightly downloadable edition of big names but fortunately full of new and interesting voices, the program of the next Milan Fashion Week FW22 saw the return of Gucci and Bottega Veneta after two years of absconding of the two brands around the world. During the lockdown, among other things, Dolce & Gabbana returned to the CNMI's fold and returned to present in the official Milan calendar further enriching the number of important mainstream brands that choose the city for its presentations – in addition to the great classics such as Prada, Fendi, Armani and Versace, among others. Adjacent to the programming of the fashion week, even if not inside, is then Ann Demeulemeester, a brand that will be the guest designer of this year's Pitti Uomo and therefore will present its new collection on January 12th, that is, with only one day of interval from the beginning of Milan Fashion Week.
