The North Face develops new eco-sustainable fabrics In a new partnership with Spinnova

The North Face has joined forces with Spinnova to develop new eco-sustainable high-performance fabrics designed for the outdoor world, thus marking the beginning of a path created to offer sustainable garments made with Spinnova materials.

While world demand in the textile sector is continuously growing, it will reach 146 million tons by 2030, the outdoor segment seems to be the one with the most sustained growth. For this reason, the announced partnership aims to reduce the impact that the textile industry has on the environment and on the consumption of resources. Spinnova and The North Face therefore aim to provide a sustainable alternative to the outdoor world, presenting materials that can replace traditional ones without compromising on quality and technicality. "Making products increasingly focused on a circular perspective is our most ambitious goal, as well as developing innovative materials and reducing the environmental impact as much as possible. Spinnova is the ideal partner to accompany us along this journey”, said Oliver Lang, Global VP and Product Development at The North Face.

Produced without novice chemicals, Spinnova fiber minimizes the use of water and CO2 emissions, furthermore, as it does not contain microplastics, it is produced in full compliance with the principles of circularity. In the progressive shift of the fashion world towards a more sustainable dimension, the choice made by The North Face moves even more towards the idea of a conscientious fashion system ready to change its mind and mind on a production system still fixed on old principles.
