With a 1OF1 sneaker and the From Venice to Venice project
July 26th, 2021
On the occasion of the official debut of skateboarding at the Tokyo Olympics, Golden Goose has chosen the young American talent Cory Juneau to bring the brand to the Olympic scenario. "Cory perfectly embodies and celebrates the values we believe in and share: family, passion, authenticity, positivity and success, which are as important in the skatepark as in the workplace and in everyday life. We are thrilled to be alongside him, accompanying him in this fundamental stage of his career, the dream of every athlete: the Olympic Games", said Silvio Campara, CEO of Golden Goose.
For the occasion, the brand created an exclusive 1OF1 sneaker worn by Juneau during the Olympics, thus bringing the brand from its Venetian origins to Japan via San Diego. Thus was born From Venice to Venice, a journey in three stages in which Cory Juneau will recount her human and professional journey in a journey that will culminate in Venice, during the Film Festival. There, on September 6th, Golden Goose and the Italian skateboard brand Bastard will breathe new life into their iconic skate bowl with performances by Cory Juneau and a group from the local skate community.
“Golden Goose truly believes that people who stand out for their sporting achievements share our same values as dedication, passion and fairness. From the first minute we saw Cory we understood that he was the right person to represent the brand, not only because Golden Goose has always been inspired and influenced by the skate culture, but also because of the values he embodies. A carefree, humble and tireless boy ready to face the biggest challenge of him” concluded Campara presenting the project.
