What went down at Off-White™ FW21 show

Virgil Abloh presented the 'Laboratory of Fun' collection

What went down at Off-White™ FW21 show Virgil Abloh presented the 'Laboratory of Fun' collection

"This collection is partly about my roots as an architect [...] it represents an evolution of the Off-White™ approach, which continues on the path of blurring the boundaries between creative disciplines and various inspirations. It's about developing aesthetics in a new and highly explorable space" - Virgil Abloh.

Precise silhouettes, almost all monochromatic looks and a noticeable reduction of graphic elements symbolizing a new sense of clarity and cleanliness for the brand. The colour palette ranges from greys, neutrals, slightly muted oranges to blur to blues and various shades of yellow.

The looks included coat-dresses, oversized braided sweaters coloured with indigo dye and blazers with clean-cut shoulders and single pleat sleeves. Sculptural, cut-and-sewn dresses, such as the padded vest, offered boxy silhouettes giving prominence to single-breasted blazers, oversized overcoats and knitwear with metallic accents.

In addition, at the conclusion of the show to celebrate the 'Laboratory of Fun', Grammy-winning artist M.I.A. performed a performance of some of her hits in a total Off-White™ look.
