The historic Accademia Costume & Moda, born in Rome in 1964 but now also present in Milan, has just presented its new digital campaign in support of the LGBTQIA+ community on the occasion of Pride Month 2021. In addition to adopting the slogan Proudly colorful, throughout the month of June, the academy logo will take on rainbow colors in the "Progress Pride Flag" variant, proposed in 2020 and where on the left there is a lateral triangle, consisting of 4 strips of color: black (in memory of the aids dead), brown (against racism) and blue and pink for trans and transgender people. The new version of the logo will appear on all communication channels of the institute, from the website to social networks.
In addition, ACM and its community of staff and students will be present throughout june with digital initiatives in support of LGBT+ rights. The president of the academy, Lupo Lanzara, commented on the initiative as follows:
«This year, Accademia Costume & Moda wants to be an active part of "Global Pride Month" with the aim of deepening and increasing the culture and sensitivity on LGBTQIA+ issues of our students and our community. [...] Since its foundation in 1964, the Academy has been a place for growth, exchange and discussion on current issues. This is only the first part of a path that we want to pursue in promoting an environment that welcomes, shares and promotes freedom of expression in all its forms».
