Armani and Etro are among the confirmed physical shows

Milan Fashion Week Men's is getting closer. This will be an important edition, the edition of the restart, but also that of Glenn Martens' debut at Diesel, of the Designer for the Planet project and of Andrea Pompilio's capsule for Harmont & Blaine. The calendar, which runs from June 18 to 22 and that can be downloaded here, and which is dedicated to the SS22 season, sees the participation of 63 brands with Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, A-COLD-WALL* and Etro as the only brands to have confirmed physical fashion shows. Other historical brands such as Prada, Fendi and Ermenegildo Zegna will continue with the digital format that will perhaps be abandoned only for the fashion week of September.
This will be an optimistic edition of Milan Fashion Week: as WWD reports, the president of CNMI, Carlo Capasa, said at a recent press conference that the fashion sector in Italy has returned to growth in March and that the industry expects to close the year with total revenues of 80 billion and a 13% increase in exports compared to 2020 with the fashion industry confirming itself as one of the most performing sectors of the national economy. Specifically, exports to China increased by 85.3%, although there were sharp decreases in exports to the UK, almost halved, and to the US, which fell by 27.4%.
