The new Patta x C.P. Company collaboration
The two brands reunite to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian label
May 17th, 2021
2021 is and will continue to be the year of celebrations for C.P. Company, the brand founded by Massimo Osti 50 years ago, which pays homage to this important milestone through special capsules and historical collaborations. After the most emotional capsule, the one dedicated to Lucio Dalla, and after the statue of the British Sailor, the third chapter of C.P. Company Anniversary is dedicated to one of the most successful moments in the contemporary history of the brand: the collaboration with the Dutch brand Patta.
For the first time in 2019, the two brands met in a capsule collection that combined the continuous research and experimentation of C.P. Company in garment dyeing and technical fabrics, with Patta's streetwear approach. Today Patta and C.P. Company come together in a new capsule collection to celebrate the 50th anniversary of C.P. Company that has consecrated them as the "father of sportswear". The iconic Patta tracksuit has taken up the distinctive pocket of the Signature Mille Goggle Jacket by C.P. Company to create a brand new capsule that tells the timeless aesthetics of Patta with the characteristics that made C.P. Company an icon in the world of sportswear.
Another important meeting point between Patta and C.P. Company is music. The same founders of the Dutch brand, Edson Sabajo and Guillaume "Gae" Schmidt, came respectively from a past as DJ and MC, and likewise, also C.P. Company has always been part of different musical currents and underground cultural movements. It came naturally therefore that to complete this new collaboration, there is also a musical component. After releasing their first self-titled album at the end of last year, on the Rizado Records label, followed by the melancholy single Amsterdam, Dutch indie band OWN present their new single: Wonder / Wander. With Tirino Yspol in the lead role, the latest video directed by Mees Peijnenburg tells the shared interest in music between Patta and C.P. Company.
