The new 1017 Alyx 9SM futuristic clog
Cozy but make it fashion

Matthew Williams, the founder of 1017 Alyx 9SM and the creative director of Givenchy, is certainly busy but his latest release for Alyx shows he knows how to appreciate the conveniences of home. In fact, the brand presented a slip-on slipper in two colours that answer the question: "What would an astronaut of the future wear to be comfortable on his ship?" Jokes aside, however, slip-on had been part of many of the looks in the brand's SS21 collection - posing as a kind of a transversal footwear proposal halfway between the actual clog and the lifestyle footwear.
Alyx's new clog is composed entirely of EVA foam and consists of a single piece of material that hasn't been sewn or assembled. The shape of the upper is sculptural and resembles that of a wave and on the entire surface of the shoe, there are holes for ventilation while a discreet relief branding is located on the sides and on the sole of the clog.
