Valentino's new scholarship for young writers

Tomi Adeyemi, a 27-year-old American-Nigerian writer, is one of the youngest and most influential voices of contemporary American literature. Featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list and in the Times' 100 Most Influential People of 2020 chart, she divides her time between the composition of her works and her creative writing course The Writer's Roadmap. To support young authors and find the next big thing in literature, Valentino presented the #WritersRoadmapxValentino project to sponsor 50 up-and-coming students and writers and get them to participate in a workshop with Adeyemi. 

This project is part of Valentino's broader educational and growth programs strategy and aims to support artistic disciplines and cultivate an increasingly diverse and inclusive brand community. Adeyemi's #WritersRoadmapxValentino will help students shape their literary works, giving them encouragement, advice, tips within a community of young authors from all over the world. The selections for the project took place last December after a social media contest in which interested students submitted their application via Instagram. Students received a welcome kit with a Strand Bookstore x Valentino tote and Valentino Voce Viva fragrance.
