Tokyo Design Studio New Balance's latest 3-in-1 sneaker

Tokyo Design Studio New Balance is the subsidiary brand of the American New Balance which, with a team made up of Japanese and US designers, is dedicated to the development of the most technological and avant-garde concepts of the brand. Its latest creation is the TDS Niobium Concept 1, a name that wants to evoke the grey colour and high strength of the eponymous material. It is a 3-in-1 sneaker that, thanks to the layering of its components, can become a hiking boot, an outdoor sandal or a slip-on.

The sneaker features the sole of the MT801 one of New Balance's best-selling trail running shoes, while inside the upper a eVent boot, a material designed to be waterproof and breathable, can be exchanged for a sandal lining. The grey colourway is both a reference to the metal that gives the shoe its name and a reference to the most beloved colourway of the New Balance sneakers.
