Fendi announces Kim Jones' first Couture fashion show

Kim Jones triumphantly inaugurates his new tenure at Fendi. His debut collection will in fact cover the haute couture category and will be presented in the historic Paris Stock Exchange, the Palais Brongniart during Haute Couture Fashion Week on January 27th. If new creative directors usually debut in ready-to-wear, the decision to make Jones debut with haute couture testifies to a strong optimism. 

There are no further details about the collection, except for the preview photo by Paolo Roversi that you can observe at the top. The choice also seems to accentuate the symbolic "passing of the baton" between the late Lagerfeld and Kim Jones – it was Karl Lagerfeld, during his ten-year tenure, who brought the brand to the top of the category.
