The new master's degree on sustainability of Accademia Costume & Moda
The spearhead of a program that also includes Fashion Communication and Creative Direction
December 2nd, 2020
The Courses of Accademia Costume & Moda in Milan will be enriched with three new masters starting next March. These are three masters that deal with topical topics characterized by a strong multidisciplinary imprint and a scientific approach – all courses that address the new issues that the fashion system is facing, not least that of sustainability, which in many ways is already one of the fastest growing new areas in the fashion labour market. In addition to the masters in Fashion Communication & Art Direction and Creative Direction for the Performing Arts, there will in fact be Fashion Sustainability & Industry Innovation, which will have as scientific director the founder and ceo of Spin360, Federico Brugnoli.
The Master in Fashion Sustainability & Industry Innovation will integrate cultural and design disciplines, examining the entire product cycle from business models, up to the legal area, communication and scientific deepening. The projects related to the course will examine aspects such as Sustainability assessment and Improvement through product and process innovation, Lifecycle Design and Lifecycle Design and Sustainable Supply Chains, Circular & Sustainable Business Models. The other two masters will also use a similar transversal approach, now dedicating themselves to fashion communication in the days of hyper-digitization and curatorial approaches, now to creative direction in an increasingly cross-sectoral world of entertainment.
