Reinterpreting luxury in the mountains
November 11th, 2020
Moncler Grenoble is Moncler's line born in 2010 with the aim of creating a new type of techwear that would join. to the classic fashion inspiration, the high performance of ski clothing. After last year's western inspirations, this year's Grenoble collection presented an even richer collection for this winter season. Part of the Moncler Genius section of the collection had already made its debut last February in Milan, but the novelty of this year is the presence of a children's collection called Moncler Grenoble Enfant.
3 Moncler Grenoble, the collection presented in the creative context of Moncler Genius, represents the most specific proposal of the brand for lovers of snow and winter sports. The creative director of the collection, Sandro Mandrino, accentuated the functionality of the garments with a modern and elegant touch. The result is a collection that is both highly technical and equipped with an incisive aesthetic - thanks to innovative technical elements also applied to fabrics, all garments are designed to be worn both on and off the slopes. The looks created by Mandrino are layered, colorful and versatile.
The collection includes whole jumps and tuts, duvets, bomber jackets and sweaters that, thanks to a skilful layering and multicolored patterns that decorate them, enhance the texture of the materials: the mixes of matte and shiny nylon and knitwear. Then there are some total white and total black looks respectively equipped with Dyneema® technologies, a very light fiber and 15 times more resistant than steel, and Snow Glow, a photoluminescent membrane that lights up in the dark after being exposed to the sun or warm light.
Together with the Moncler Genius collection, there is the Moncler Grenoble Collection which offers a range of technical products dedicated to both professional skiers and hiking lovers. The garments are grouped according to their use in the High Performance, Performance & Style and Après Ski categories – each dedicated to a specific occasion of use. The most interesting, also for the innovations introduced, is the High Performance collection, with its GORE-TEX garments, the Sizan and Surier jackets in 4-way stretch nylon and modular glo shells that guarantee thermoregulation, weather protection, lightness and freedom of movement during descents and is dedicated to the most experienced skiers.
In addition, in this collection, Moncler Grenoble debuts its first children's line, Moncler Grenoble Enfant Collection. Modelled on the main collection, the versions of the garments for the junior line are aimed at both girls and boys offering garments that possess the same high technical characteristics and high levels of protection as adult garments.
