Nike's new golf sneakers Getting mixed reviews

The extravagant fringes of classic golf shoes meet the Sean Wotherspoon-esque aesthetic of corduroy: this could be the definition of the new Air Max 97 and Air Zoom Victory Tour of Nike's golf line. If the Jordan 5 "Black Grape" dedicated to golf had enjoyed some success on the greens, the two new silhouettes have a decidedly unusual air, which made Twitter users discuss that they either appreciated the detail of the kiltie as winking at the vintage world or considered it somewhat grotesque.

Kiltie aside, the two sneakers live up to all Nike performance technologies: both models have an integrated traction pattern and special soles for greater grip on the ground, as well as two different cushioning systems. The details on the kiltie, on the other hand, add an ironic touch to the set with the embroidery "Good Luck" that can be read on it.

Nike's new golf sneakers don't have a release date yet, they're expected to drop in the upcoming months.
