Stone Island's FW20 collection
With the new Ghillie Laser Camo fabric
October 14th, 2020
The so-called ghillie suit is a garment used by sharpshooters in hunting and in the military made up of strips of fabric that reproduce the grass and leaves scattered on the ground. This was Stone Island's inspiration for the development of the new fabric protagonist of the FW20 of the brand, where treatments, graphics, dyes and laser prints with 3D effect are applied differently to the various product categories to make each piece unique.
The absolute protagonist of this season's line-up is the anorak in cotton canvas with viscose outer flogging, finished with a polyurethane resin. The graphic pattern is obtained by laser printing on the finished garment that erodes the dye colours and reveals the Ghillie Camo design. The same treatment is applied to the rest of the crewneck, trousers and shorts that make up the collection with the addition of a Dust Colour treatment, which deposits a veil of coloured pigments on the surface of the finished garment for a three-dimensional effect.
