A celebration of British subcultures

The new Fred Perry x Nicholas Delay collection A celebration of British subcultures

The on-going collaboration between Fred Perry and Nicholas Delay continues to the discovery of the subcultures of the British scene. This time the focus has been on two key and highly influential genres, punk and reggae, digging between the artists of the past, from the Clash to John Lydon, and contemporary ones such as King Krule and Black Midi, united together to subculture references such as the tartan.

Designer and musician, Nicholas Delay has found in Fred Perry the perfect partner for the encounter between contemporary culture and artisan tradition to celebrate sub-cultures and their link with music. This is why the creative process behind this new collection was slow and precise, the result of a study of the Fred Perry archive to discover fabrics and patterns dating back to the 70s and 80s

The iconic Polo is interpreted with sponge inserts on the sleeves, as is the cotton tartan sweatshirt. The sweaters, on the other hand, are inspired by school uniforms with their V-neck and come in three retro colorways of brown and orange. The collection is completed by leather accessories and a knitted scarf.
