Where to buy new The North Face x Brain Dead FW20 capsule collection
Unveiled during the Global Climbing Day
September 1st, 2020
Following the success of the first collaboration, The North Face and Brain Dead have come together once again to present a new FW20 capsule collection. The collection was announced a few days ago with a post on Brain Dead's Instagram profile: it draws inspiration from the trend of climbing aesthetics that over the last few months has increasingly gained a central role in the fashion world and was launched in conjunction with the Global Climbing Day, the event scheduled for August 24 and organized by The North Face itself to celebrate the world of climbing and bring the public closer to the outdoors and trekking world. For the launch, the two brands also hosted a Live on YouTube (which can be found at this link) together with some professionals from the climbing community.
Inspired by the influences and tradition of The North Face's classic outerwear, the new capsule collection re-proposes some classic items such as the 1976 Mountain Parka and the 1989 Classic Fleece Pullover but also marks the debut of the first female silhouettes from Brain Dead. In addition to outerwear, the entire collection consists of sportswear, functional details, equipment and accessories made unique by the characteristic The North Face's colour blocking and prints of the two logos coated on most of the garments.
