Over the last few years, the fashion industry has been contaminated - and has taken possession of - aesthetics long considered too distant from the field. In the beginning, it was gorpcore, which in recent months has turned into hiking, trail and climbing, the typical clothing of these outdoor activities has now become a permanent presence on the catwalks and in the street style.
Always the favourite brand of true mountain enthusiasts, Salomon was also one of the first able to make the definitive transition, coming out of its niche opening up to a wider and more varied audience, and it did so above all through its sneakers, which find in the XT-4 Advanced one of the best known and most appreciated silhouettes.
It is precisely on this model, initially launched in 2012, that the brand is back to work for its second collaboration with Fumito Ganryu. After gaining experience at Junya Watanabe, a couple of years ago the Japanese designer launched his eponymous brand, which immediately became synonymous with a hidden and whispered elegance told through laid back and oversized silhouettes, often marked by antithetical colours like black and white. Ganryu started from this dichotomy of colours to add his personal touch on the new Salomon XT-4 Advanced which are characterized by a new black and white colourway, enriched by the Japanese brand logo on the insole and on the tongue.
A silhouette that definitively crosses the boundaries of sportswear to open up to the world of the most sophisticated luxury.
