Tommy Hilfiger opens the summer season with important news for the Made in Italy. The U.S. brand has licensed its Tailored line to Lardini which, starting from SS21, will design, produce and distribute Tommy Hilfiger suits, jackets, suit separates and classic pants across the EMEA and APAC regions.
Hilfiger, which reported revenues of around €1.18 billion in the first quarter of 2020, a decrease of 43% compared to the same period last year, is now focusing on the company's know-how to bring an innovative and sophisticated twist to its collections. Lardini, founded in 1978 and worldwide known for its tailor-made jackets, will develop the business segment of Hilfiger's tailored line which combines the most formal menswear with luxurious details, fine fabrics and contemporary cuts.
Both partners said they are excited about the new collaboration. Martijn Hagman, CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Global and Pvh Europe, stated:
Globally celebrated for their excellence in tailoring and craftmanship, we are confident that Lardini will continue to build on the innovative and sophisticated spirit at the heart of our tailored collections. We believe that leveraging Lardini’s market expertise will enable us to further expand our tailored product categories in Europe and Asia.
