The new Kenzo x Vans capsule collection
Kenzo's archival floral prints decorate the silhouettes of the Sk8-Hi and Old-Skool
June 11th, 2020
Kenzo and Vans have renewed their partnership, launched in 2012, for the brand's SS20 collection. The new creative director of the French-Japanese brand, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, was inspired by the world of skateboarding to design a 46 item capsule collection that, in addition to a selection of unisex jersey garments made from organic cotton, includes hats buckets, caps, backpacks and bags. The main theme of the entire collection is the floral prints of the Kenzo archives that cover the silhouettes of the Vans Sk8-Hi and Old-Skool in the form of all-over prints in three variants for men and women.
Among the most notable items of the capsule stand out, in particular, the spring coat with all-over floral print and jeans with a relaxed fit. To enrich the proposal of the capsule, there are also two skateboards made by Kenzo in collaboration with The Skateroom, which will be produced in only 150 units. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to benefit a social skating project, which will help troubled kids in Jamaica.
The Kenzo x Vans capsule collection will be available in all Kenzo stores as well as on KENZO.com starting June 17.
