The first sneakers by Benetton

Under the leadership of the new creative director Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, with whom last year the brand opened Milan Fashion Week with its first runway ever, the Benetton Group has announced the start of a multi-annual deal with the sneaker leader-company UBC-United Brands Company S.p.A. to design a new exclusive collection of United Colors of Benetton sneakers for men, women and children.
It is the first time that Benetton debuts a sneakers collection, and it will distributed as a part of Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
We are very proud of this deal with one of the most iconic and important Italian brands in the world, with which we immediately empathized and collaborated for the SS2021 collection, said Paolo Tessarin, UBC-United Brands' President and CEO. We trust in the many possibilities that can be born from this collaboration, as it was already confirmed by the interest shown by our principal clients, mostly abroad. The Benetton group is among the most famous fashion brands in the world. Founded in 1965 at Ponzano Veneto (Treviso) by siblings Luciano, Gilberto, Giuliana and Carlo Benetton, it is now active with more than 5000 stores worldwide. UBC-United Brands Company S.p.A. is a group from Vicenza, Italy specialized in the design, production and development of sneakers and sport shoes in collaboration with a huge portfolio of Italian brands as Roberto Cavalli Sport, Sergio Tacchini, Trussardi, Gas and Carrera, operating with a network of more than 38 Countries on a global scale.
