IKEA celebrates Pride Month with a new rainbow-colored Frakta Bag
Part of the #CASAPUOIESSERETU campaign
May 15th, 2020
Sunday 17th May is the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersessuophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT). To celebrate this important event, which anticipates the Pride Month in June, IKEA has painted its famous Frakta bag with the colours of the rainbow.
This new item, called STORSTOMMA, is the symbol through which the Swedish brand reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, love for diversity and against all discrimination and hate. The new bag is part of the #CASAPUOIESSERETU campaign, an invitation to break the silence against all discriminations and symbolically open your home - and your heart - to others. The project, which will be online from Sunday 17th May on all IKEA Italia social channels, focuses on the different feelings related to the idea of home, the place where you can feel safe and free to be yourself.
In addition, to highlight its commitment to defending civil rights against all forms of discrimination, IKEA supports the Quore Association, which is committed to co-housing for LGBT+ people who have had to leave their homes after coming out, either by furnishing the spaces or by making a donation.
