Tyler, The Creator has recruited Spencer McMullen for Converse Artist Series
The young artist revisited the iconic Chuck 70

In 2015, 16-year-old Spencer McMullen flipped over his bike's handlebars trying to show Tyler, The Creator an illustration. From this accidental and unusual encounter sprang to life a new Chuck 70.
The rapper has, in fact, recruited McMullen for Artist Series, a program created by Tyler in collaboration with Converse that for some years now has been spotlighting new creatives by offering them the chance to design their own sneakers and emerge in the world fashion scene.
The illustrations of the 21-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, give a unique, colourful and personal twist to the upper of the iconic Chuck 70.
After growing up with the brand, applying my artwork to this sneaker was really a dream come true, said McMullen. But I didn’t want to disrupt the silhouette too much, because it is perfect in its simplicity.
The campaign assets for the Converse Artist Series were also created by McMullen at his Los Angeles home, in support of Converse's new #CreateAtHome campaign, which encourages the creative community to share their talent on social media.
Converse Artist Series Presented by Tyler, The Creator is already available online for €100.
