JW(Q&)A's first guest is the photographer Tyler Mitchell
April 7th, 2020
From Jacquemus to Bottega Veneta, many fashion brands are trying to entertain us during these quarantine weeks with special initiatives aimed at inspiring and stimulating our creativity. The last name to join the list is JW Anderson. The Irish designer has launched JW(Q&)A, a series of digital interviews in which collaborators and friends will answer questions and curiosities sent by the fans.
The project, launched at the beginning of April, started with Tyler Mitchell, known for being, in 2018, the first African-American to shoot the prestigious September cover of Vogue, portraying Beyoncé with a flower crown on her head. The photographer is the author of Anderson's last two ADV campaigns, creating a series of dreamlike and ethereal images, capable of giving a playful twist to urban suburbs that are certainly a source of inspiration for many upcoming creatives. There are many questions that fans have asked Mitchell: from how you would describe your fashion identity to where you find your inspiration or how you spend your time in quarantine. If you want to know the answers, watch the video below.
Following Tyler Mitchell, future guests slated for JW(Q&)A include fashion journalist Tim Blanks, NYC trans-gender performer Mx Justin Vivian Bond.
