The North Face presents the Black Series SS20 collection
Technical, minimalist and urban
February 26th, 2020
The North Face's technical know-how meets minimalist and contemporary aesthetics in the new Black Series collection. For the SS20, a team of stylists and creatives led by Tim Hamilton has turned archival garments part of the company's mountaineering heritage such as the Mountain Light jacket and the geodesic dome into modern and futuristic silhouettes designed for the urban explorer.
With Black Series, we have created the next step in the evolution of The North Face as a brand that dares to disrupt and push the boundaries of innovation to deliver timeless designs that are built to last a lifetime.-said Hamilton. In concepting the collection, we took inspiration from The North Face Archival Library, selecting styles that were born in the mountain, distilling them to their purist form, and rebuilding them into timeless reimaginations.
The result is a series of premium men's and women's clothes that combine sophisticated design with cutting-edge materials and technology such as the new, breathable and waterproof FUTURELIGHT. Must-have items include a blue and black cape jacket, a cropped jacket and a yellow neoprene bodysuit.
The Black Series collection, introduced by The North Face team athletes Margo Hayes and Matty Hong, is available from today, Wednesday, February 26th online and in selected stores.
