Virgil Abloh to sign UNICEF x Louis Vuitton bracelet
For every bracelet sold, 100 € will be donated to charity
February 12th, 2020
As every year since 2016, the partnership between Louis Vuitton and UNICEF is renewed. The protagonist will once again be the Silver Lockit bracelet whose new version will be designed by Virgil Abloh. As every year for every accessory that will be sold the maison will donate 100 euros to UNICEF for the financing of charitable initiatives around the world. The UNICEF x Louis Vuitton Silver Lockit bracelet will be made available online and in more than 150 Louis Vuitton stores around the world starting February 21st.
The lock is the central concept of the collaboration and is a reference to the one made by George Vuitton in 1890 to protect the assets of its customers. It is also the common thread of the different versions of the bracelet, which change every year. Last year, for example, it was actress Sophie Turner who co-designed the bracelet and promoted it in a campaign. The one designed by Abloh features four new colorways, a thicker, more adjustable cord and a sterling silver chain to which the lock is attached.
The UNICEF x Louis Vuitton Silver Lockit bracelet designed by Virgil Abloh will arrive on Louis Vuitton's official website and in selected stores around the world on February 21. Stay connected to nss magazine for all updates on upcoming Louis Vuitton drops.
