Tom Sachs x NIKECRAFT's new "Transitions" collection

Artist Tom Sachs is one of Nike's most illustrious collaborators: his NikeCraft Mars Yard Shoes are among the most valuable and untraceable sneakers on the market resell and items like the Mars Yard Overshoe become sold out in seconds. Today Nike and Sachs announced the upcoming launch of Tom Sachs x NIKECRAFT's "Transitions" collection, already presented at the "Tea Ceremony" exhibition held in Tokyo last April, which the artist defined as a study on the "transparency of materials and of construction" and the global drop date is set for Saturday, February 15th.
The "Transitions" collection represents a continuation of the same aesthetic line that began with the Mars Yard Overshoe, using the same Dyneema® laminated fabric which is ultralight and weatherproof. The central item of the collection is the Exploding Poncho, decorated on the back by graphics that reproduce Sachs's writing and that also reappear on the pouch. Other items include a cap inspired by the astronauts' headwear with a pencil-holder, a long-sleeve shirt and upholstered sports shorts.
Tom Sachs x NIKECRAFT's "Transitions" collection will be available globally from February 15th on Nike's official website and at select retailers.
