FUTUR x Mizuno Wave Prophecy

2019 marks the fifth anniversary of FUTUR's birth. A year that saw the brand French engage in a number of projects and collaborations, including a collab with Mizuno as part of the KADOKU Project and the capsule released with Helly Hensen. Before the end of the year, FUTUR returns to join forces with Mizuno for a second capsule collection together that includes a series of clothing items and a makeover of the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 8 in two new colors: the sneaker will be called Wave Prophecy FUTUR. The release date set for the collection is November 16th.

The centerpiece of the capsule is the Wave Prophecy FUTUR sneaker. The midsole of the sneaker is characterized by the Mizuno Infinity Wave support system, which was originally designed for running. It is a light thermoplastic material capable of absorbing any shock and above all maintaining a complete balance of the foot. In the version co-signed with FUTUR, it acquires a reflective motif on the side of the upper and iridescent details. In the black colorway, the red band on the tongue creates a color contrast with the rest of the upper, along with the orange outsole. The white one, on the other hand, has yellow contrastive elements. A plaque on the heel of each shoe bears the inscription 2019, a reference to the fifth anniversary of FUTUR.

The clothing capsule consists of four hats with the double branding of FUTUR and Mizuno, thermal gloves and balaclavas and two black weatherproof running jackets, for men and women, made in the Mizuno technical fabric, impermeable and breathable, with reflective graphics on the back and both sleeves. All the items of the capsule were immortalized in a photoshoot made by Thibaut Grevet.
