Gucci Mane is the star of the new Gucci Cruise 2020 campaign
Directed by Harmony Korine, with Iggy Pop and Sienna Miller
October 2nd, 2019
The ultimate party? The Gucci Cruise 2020 campaign: #ComeAsYouAre_RSVP.
Alessandro Michele sent out the invitations and everyone came to the party. The guests arrive by helicopter and limousine wearing the stunning and eccentric with the clothes admired on the runway at the Capitoline Museums, for a party in Villa La Furibonda - one of the legendary on the Appia Antica in Rome - that takes inspiration from the Roman age parties with a dirty and trippy touch. It is a joyful, glamorous and inclusive orgy of colors, noises, life and people orchestrated by the director Harmony Korine (who is extending the partnership with Gucci after the book shot in Pompei and Ercolano), who mixes his crazy vision with the edonistic and eccentric Gucci's taste.
Among the guests, Gucci Mane gets a massage, splashes around a bubble bath, plays piano and flirts among other bacchanalia at a mansion house party. Joining him are peer pop culture icons, Sienna Miller and Iggy Pop. Both, indeed, came as themselves themselves: Sienna as a show-stealing fur-coated diva and Iggy shirtless and resplendent in slides and booty shorts
The video is a gem, and the ice on the cake is the Italian Disco soundtrack by Giorgio Moroder. Shots so cool that Gucci Mane chose one of them (the one where he is giving a massage) as the cover of his new album, Woptober 2, coming out on October 17.
