Is Off-White updating its logo?
On IG appeared the graphics of a face in the middle and two hands on the sides

If you follow Off-White on Instagram you may have already seen it: the brand has a new logo.
The logo, which appeared as a pic profile and before the SS20 fashion show video, depicts the silhouette of a face in the middle, framed at the sides between two hands, one under the word "Off" (with the index finger entering the "O") and the other under the word "White".
The motif has not yet been used on any garment, but it could soon be added to the now-famous double-crossed arrows and stripes that decorate sweatshirts, t-shirts and even many of the accessories presented during the recent PFW, such as the earrings worn by Gigi Hadid or the "meme" bags with holes (which are actually called Meteor Shower).
Virgil Abloh's brand has been at the center of some legal battles in recent months. In the first one, a creative agency based in New York called OffWhite Co. accuses the fashion label of copyright infringement, while the second one concerns its black and white striped logo. Helly Hansen filed a complaint in the federal court of Illinois accusing Off-White of having copied "the white stripes and another contrasting color that appear on the shoulders and sleeves of the shirts and on the outer seams of the pants". The Scandinavian brand claimed to have used the design for 36 years before Off-White deposited it as its logo.
A fun fact: for those who grew up in the '80s, the hand-faced logo of Off-White reminds us of the design of the Taboo candy spot. What do you think?
