Matthew Williams has presented a new colorway of MMW Free TR 3 SP
September 24th, 2019
On 20 January, Ex Nihilo, the FW19 collection by 1017 ALYX 9SM, was shown on the Paris catwalks. At the feet, Kaia Gerber and the other models were wearing new shoes made in collaboration with Vibram, such as the eye-catching Nike x MMW Free TR 3 SP. Now, a few months later, Milano Fashion Week was the perfect opportunity to explore in more detail the partnership with the Italian company that produces high-performance rubber soles. Matthew Williams, creative director of Alyx, together with Vibram designers David Filar and Andrea Rinaldi, retraced the process of the collaboration, from its debut to the search for a model that combines technical performance and a bold look, from the role of the sole in the aesthetics and functionality of the shoe to the revolutionary concept of the Nike x MMW Free TR 3 SP, sneaker with a dual soul training and urban.
At the event held on Friday 20th September at the Vibram Connection Lab in Milan, the real protagonist among the 1017 Alyx 9SM footwear models on display was the Free TR 3 SP, unveiled in the new camouflage version.
