Stella McCartney reaffirms her commitment to a fashion more and more eco-friendly. The creative, who has always been looking for new solutions to keep her brand as green as possible, is ready to launch on the market the most sustainable rubber boot ever made. The shoe, created in collaboration with Hunter Boots made its debut during McCartney's FW19 fashion show in Paris and is now about to hit the stores.
The design reinterprets Hunter's iconic Wellington boot with sculptural soles and handmade treads, but the real innovation is in the material used. It is a natural rubber that comes from the forests of Guatemala and, collected in an ethical way, ensures that no rainforest is cut down, while also protecting the welfare of workers and local communities. The stretch sock insert is also made from a certified natural rubber called Yulex, which replaces traditional neoprene. A choice that generates 80% less carbon dioxide harmful to climate balance, without sacrificing strength and elasticity. The new Stella McCartney x Hunter boots are available for men and women in black, grey and dark green and have been on sale starting from September at Stella McCartney, Hunterboots.com and major retailers.
